[This time, the recording starts with a long, drawn out sigh. Then, surprisingly, it's still Merlin's voice that rattles off the voicemail in tones of long-suffering.]

Hello, you've reached King Arthur Pr--Pendragon. He isn't here to answer your call because he's incredibly important and busy. If you leave a message here with me, I'll make sure he gets it because I am a good servant--and friend-- [he adds the last bit in a rush, accompanied with a thwap!, an 'ow!' and an 'I heard that,' then forces the rest of the words out through gritted teeth] and will do anything my master asks of me.

[A couple seconds pass, then Merlin speaks again, this time sounding a bit further away, like he isn't speaking into the bracelet anymore.] There, happy now? If you ask me, the other one is still better-- Shut up, Merlin. It's time to do yours next. Wait, what --

[ click! ]

[ Give him a minute to respond. He is, presumably, busy being a sap in some manner or another. ]

[At first Merlin's voice is small and uncertain.]

[ He says it distractedly, tidying up his office so he can leave, but then the oddness of Merlin's voice registers and he stops. ]

Why? Is everything all right?

[A shaky exhale.]

Nothing. It's nothing. I'll see you there.

[And he hangs up just then. Arthur will find him in their room, lying in bed with one arm draped over his eyes.]

[ The only proper response to which, really, is for Arthur to toss his coat onto Merlin's face on his way this own bed. He sits down to pull off his boots with a huff. ]

Right, then. Out with it, what's got you sulking about this time?

Of course. And the same of you, Doctor. You know where to reach me if ever you've need of me.

If anything is rusty, it's those helmets you lot bang your heads around in.

[Even through text, Merlin manages to sound reluctant.]

[When the video comes on Will kind of fidgets and sets his jaw for a moment. This is the only way he's going to be able to talk to the other.]

So. I hope you don't show this to Merlin, because its something I have to say to you. Look, back in Ealdor, I know I gave you a hard time when you came in. And then I did what I did-

[His voice catches and he doesn't speak for a second, his eyes not looking at the device.]

I wanted you to know, that Merlin told me you were a good person, and I guess I was a little-

[He can't say the word jealous. So he huffs.]

Look. You don't have to worry about me, I did what I had to back then. I'm certain you guys don't think about it much, but it's been bothering me every day since I got here. Its affected my relationships with people. I'm just-

[Tired. The Doctor had been right. Holding on and being angry, and pushing others away was tiring.]

I don't have anything really to say other than I did what I had to, and if I hadn't then I think Merlin would have been lost without you. At least that's what it felt like. I'd do it again in a minute if I had to.

So I guess that's it.

[He just stares awkwardly and then clicks the video off.]

Dog, stick. We've had this conversation.

[ Not paying a lick of attention. He's too busy flicking through the emoticons. When he pulls up this one, (=´∀｀)人(´∀｀=), his brows furrow again. ]

Now what the Hell is this one supposed to be? I can fathom out the others, but there is no feasible manner in which this represents a human expression.
