The Tournament of Worlds
Gather here for the opportunity of a lifetime - the chance to represent your home world in the most noble and honourable of competitions, for there is no greater a field for displaying a warrior's prowess than that of the battlegrounds. Here, you prove your strength, your courage, your valour, your determination, and you prove it not only to me, your peers, or the worlds across the galaxy, but to yourselves as well. Code of Conduct
1.) The first and foremost rule is that of courtesy - the knight's code will be adhered to strictly under punishment of banishment from the grounds.
2.) Exactly one (1) battle is to take place at any given time. The next battle will commence upon completion and cleaning of the previous battle.
3.) Only the combatant whose name is entered on the roster may compete. All battles are one on one (1v1). No teams or substitutes are allowed.
4.) With the exception of the On-Site Healers, the use of magic is absolutely forbidden. Battles are to be fought only with the specified craft of the division.
5.) Battles will cease upon one of three things:
  1. one or both combatant(s) concedes defeat and retreats from the battle.
  2. one or both combatant(s) is rendered unconscious or unable to continue fighting.
  3. the Warden determines that the battle is unjust or has become a threat to one or both combatant(s)'s life.
Disqualification
Upon disqualification, the offending combatant will be removed from the premises and blacklisted from all subsequent competitions. The following are grounds for disqualification:
1.) Breaking any of the above rules in the Code of Conduct.
2.) Deliberately disobeying the instructions or judgment of the Warden and/or Hosts.
3.) Refusal to cease any battle upon the above conditions, as decided and declared by the Warden.
4.) Willful intent to cheat through any and all means in an effort to gain the upperhand.
5.) Willful intent to do harm outside of the arena and/or end the life of any other persons at any time while on the premises.

Divisions
Marksmanship
precision targeting for those skilled in the use of projectile weapons.
separated by specific weapon classes:
  • longbow & crossbow
  • throwing knives, daggers & battle axes
  • automatic firearms will reluctantly be permitted
targets will be specifically designated to combatant by means of colour coordination decided upon registration.
victory will be based on deviation from the center of the target as determined by the Warden. ( targets are p. straight-forward, guys. 8(b )

Swordsmanship
despite the given name, this is not explicitly limited to the use of swords.
one-on-one combat between two combatants using any handheld weapon of choice.
battles will cease upon one of three things:
  1. one or both combatant(s) concedes defeat and retreats from the battle.
  2. one or both combatant(s) is rendered unconscious or unable to continue fighting.
  3. the Warden determines that the battle is unjust or has become a threat to one or both combatant(s)'s life.
victory will be based on the remaining combatant as determined by the Warden.

Hand-to-Hand Combat
one-on-one combat without the use of any weapons.
battles will cease upon one of three things:
  1. one or both combatant(s) concedes defeat and retreats from the battle.
  2. one or both combatant(s) is rendered unconscious or unable to continue fighting.
  3. the Warden determines that the battle is unjust or has become a threat to one or both combatant(s)'s life.
victory will be based on the remaining combatant as determined by the Warden.
Volunteers
For those that do not have combat-oriented abilities, ie. healers, or those that simply wish to participate in a non-contestant role, we welcome any and all to assist with the execution of the tournament. We will need healers, cleaners, and people to help direct/check in contestants, idk. Stuff! Do stuff. Lettuce know if you want to do Stuff.

Entry Submission Form

OOC Process of Events
  1. Each character submitted will be placed on a roster with a respective number/colour for identification.
  2. Characters will be entered into a standard competition tier system using the Random Number Generator.
I'll probably physically create the charts, just for visual aid. Because I hate myself. :(b
  3. There will be a catch-all log for the tournament, where players are free to log out their respective battles if they so choose.
If players choose to opt out of ICly playing out these battles, the victor will simply be announced within the aforementioned log by the Warden.
  4. Victors of each individual battle can be settled one of two ways:
    1. OOCly discussed between the two involved parties under supervision of the hosting mundanes/mods, because we want to make sure these things are kept civil and fair!
    2. Designating either character even or odd, then entering 1 - 50 to the Random Number Generator.
This is left to player discretion, you guys can decide which method you'd like to use!
  5. Overall tournament victors win a prize that is being donated by Thor, so we'll announce what those are when the time comes!
  6. Also, as a side note, I made all of this up so I have noooo clue how accurate or even viable these things are. Just play along. Pretend things make sense. Shh. I am super srs bsns.
